PINOT BLANC

Pinot Blanc and Auxerrois varieties are frequently associated under the same designation Pinot Blanc or Pinot. Well-rounded yet delicate, they combine freshness and softness and pair well with egg dishes (like a frittata or benedicte), green vegetables such as asparagus.

RIESLING

Regarded as one of the finest white wines in the world, Riesling is widely considered to hit peak form in Alsace. Like Pinot Gris, Gewurztraminer and Muscat, it is among the four grape varieties authorized for the production of Grand Cru, late harvest and Sélection des Grains Nobles wines. It pairs well with everything from pork to shellfish to stinky cheese.

Pinot Gris

An Alsace Pinot Gris is powerful and opulent, with a deep color, and a complex, sometimes slightly smoky nose. Due to its rich character, it makes for an ideal white alternative to red wine. Ideal pairings include charcuterie board, fruit, like melon and apple, and light pasta dishes.

GEWURZTRAMINER

Gewurztraminer (translating to “spicy traminer”) is noted for its exceptionally aromatic character capable of producing many styles from dry to sweet and offering a complexity, structure and body that is unparalleled—with aromas ranging from lychee, ginger, rose and beyond. It has enough kick to match flavorful dishes while cooling down the heat factor of your favorite Indian or Thai curry dish.

PINOT NOIR

Pinot Noir is the only variety grown in Alsace to produce red or rosé wines. Elegant and supple with silky tannins, it has wonderful wild berry notes and a long finish. Matured in oak barrels, it gains additional structure and complexity. As with other world-class Pinot Noirs, those from Alsace pair well with white meats such as turkey, chicken or pork.

Crémant d’Alsace + Crémant d’Alsace Rosé

Crémant d’Alsace is the top take-home AOC sparkling wine in France, after Champagne. Always made in the traditional method (i.e. with a second fermentation in the bottle) it can be made from several varieties including Chardonnay Pinot Blanc, Auxerrois, Riesling, Pinot Gris. Crémant d’Alsace Brut Rosé, specifically, is always made with 100% Pinot Noir. Pair it with any elevated dish, as well as comfort foods and snacks including popcorn, fried chicken and French fries. Both can also be used in your favorite sparkling cocktail for an elegant touch.
